Happy Homemaker: Monday

hhm

The weather in my neck of the woods:
Slightly cool, partly cloudy with no breeze.

One of my simple pleasures:
Creating pretty things.

On my bedside table:
To many books I want to read.

On my TV:
Nothing.

On the menu for tonight:
It is bible study tonight.

On my To Do List:
Teach my beautiful children balanced with some housecleaning and laundry.

New Recipe I tried last week:
I didn’t get around to trying any of my new recipes :(.

In the craft basket:
Beads, wire and other jewelry making things.

Looking forward to:
Watching my children learn…

Homemaking Tip for this week:
Don’t stress out over dirty dishes, floors or unfinished laundry… what matters is the people around you.

Favorite Blog Post of the week (mine or other):
🙂 Will get back to this one.

Favorite photo from last week:

My little bread maker

Lesson learned the past few days:
To get all the facts before coming to a conclusion.

On my Prayer List:
Family and Friends

Devotionals, Scripture Reading, Key Verses:
I am reading and studying Galatians and Ephesians for 2 different bible studies I go to. This morning I read from 1 Peter and this verse spoke to me…

Though now you do not see Him, yet believing, you rejoice with joy inexpressible and full of glory, receiving the end of your faith- the salvation of your souls. 1:8-9

May this Monday, this day that the Lord has made… the beautiful begining of a week of days He has made be a joyful journey for you….

JOYfully in Him,
Kelli

May this year be set apart for You, consecrated simply for Your glory alone and may we find You Father in each of our search for knowledge… bring us closer to You, revealing Your mysteries and steadfast love to us. That our motivation for each day would be to walk carefully… in love… as we wait expectantly for our Lord to come bring us home. May you submerge our hearts and minds in Your grace and our lips in Your praise. May this year be a year of prayer. Lord, give us all a willingness to be servants loving oneanother as You love us… a daily surrender to Your will for ours in any circumstance… insignificant or life changing as it may be. Fill our hearts with the JOY of our salvation found in Christ… let nothing take it away from us and when we are tested… bring us through the fire with our faces shining like angels. Each day is Yours, we simply borrow each breathe… guide our hearts, our minds and our emotions into Your peace and Your wisdom… it is Your presence we seek… may we find You here each day through all the papers, books, words, letters, numbers, chores and knowledge.  Amen.

So I stayed up late and planned out our year, kind of. I decided not to be to detailed and specific this year but just allow for a more delightful path of structure. I don’t want to feel like I have to do a certain lesson a certian week if it just isn’t working out that way and cause a rebellion to stir up with in me, you know tell me what exactly to do and I automatically feel the urge to rebel against it… evenmy own rules?! I didn’t include all subjects just the ones I felt I really needed some gentle guidance and encouragement for the year.

Do you want to see it?

I do 😉 I worked hard on it and it is so pretty. I like colors…
